In his expanded role, Hebner will continue to oversee Asset-Liability Management, Liquidity Management, Planning and Forecasting, and Pricing and Profitability Analysis. He also serves as Chairman of both the Bank’s Asset-Liability Committee (ALCO) and Pricing Committee, where he plays a key role in shaping deposit strategy and balance sheet optimization.

Hebner brings more than 17 years of banking experience to the role and is entering his 10th year with Centreville Bank. During his tenure, he has partnered closely with the executive management team to help grow the 197-year-old institution from $1.0 billion in assets and $740 million in deposits to $3.0 billion in assets and $2.3 billion in deposits, while also modernizing the Bank’s operational capabilities.

“Steve has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Finance, recognizing his strong leadership and strategic financial expertise,” said Jillian DeShiro, Centreville Bank’s Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. “In this expanded role, he will continue to guide the Bank in maximizing profitability while ensuring long-term stability and maintaining an appropriate, well-balanced asset/liability mix.”

Hebner’s leadership and impact have been recognized beyond the Bank. In 2023, he was named to Providence Business News’ 40 Under Forty, honoring his role in helping Centreville Bank earn recognition as one of Rhode Island’s Fastest Growing Companies and Newsweek’s Best Small Bank in Rhode Island, among other accolades.

In addition to his responsibilities at Centreville Bank, Hebner serves on the Massachusetts Bankers Association’s Leadership Elevation and Development (LEAD) Committee, where he helps develop leadership programming, events, and conferences for the next generation of banking professionals. He is also Chairman of the Town of Sterling, Connecticut Economic Development Commission.

Hebner is a graduate of Roger Williams University, where he earned a degree in Finance with a core concentration in Graphic Design.
