What a weekend in West Warwick! During the span of roughly 54 hours, the old teller line was completely demolished and removed, the new teller pods were delivered and installed and all work stations were set up and running for branch opening on Monday morning. This area of the branch has now been restored to its original layout, providing a view that hasn't been seen in decades. Thank you to our customers for your understanding during this process and to all the employees who helped to make this weekend a smooth and successful one!

The removal of the lobby scaffolding this weekend has revealed the work done thus far and what a difference! With an updated color palette, new chandelier, and opening of windows, the lobby is already transforming into a brighter and more welcoming space. And that’s just the beginning! The coming weeks will now focus on the ground level of the branch including the safe deposit area, teller line and offices.

Let there be light!  Work has begun on the upper lobby including the skylight, circular windows and painting of the ceiling. The changes have already increased the level of incoming natural light in the area and should be even more noticeable next week when the scaffolding is removed.

Speaking of light, the existing chandelier was removed and donated to the Arctic Playhouse for use in their facility with our new chandelier set to be installed later this week. You’ll also notice new, durable flooring in the Welcome Center which provides a simple, clean look for one of our busiest areas in the building.

As you can see from the photos, the lobby renovation in West Warwick is moving right along! The first area of focus will be the ceiling and the scaffolding to provide access has now been erected. The scaffolding will be removed upon completion of the ceiling work, currently scheduled for the end of the month. At that point, the remainder of the work on the ground level of the lobby and safe deposit area will begin.
