Who We Are

The Centreville Bank Charitable Foundation was established as a non-profit charitable organization in 2006 to further Centreville Bank's philanthropic mission.

What We Do

Through grantmaking, in-kind contributions and employee volunteerism, we partner with local nonprofit organizations to strengthen the communities we serve.

Our primary areas of focus are:

  • Children
  • Families
  • Elderly
  • Underprivileged

To be considered for a grant, organizations must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Received IRS 501(c)3 tax-exempt status
  • Serve Rhode Island communities, with an emphasis on statewide coverage

The Foundation does not generally fund:

  • Fraternal or Alumni organizations
  • Individuals, or programs that benefit specific individuals
  • Political organizations
  • Religious organizations (community service programs, such as soup kitchens and shelters that are sponsored by religious organizations, will be considered)
  • Talent or beauty contests
  • Requests for ad space, including, but not limited to tee signs, programs and brochures, will not be considered
  • Pass through requests
  • National organizations with local chapters
  • Requests for sporting or other equipment
  • Organizations outside our lending area

Funding requests to support projects or programs will take precedence over those that are event-related.
